Privacy Policy for *ḱludʰí (Kludhi)
Welcome to *ḱludʰí (Kludhi) by Important Imp ("we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users ("you"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, collected, processed, and protected when you use the *ḱludʰí mobile application and related services (the "App").
1. Overview and Core Purpose
*ḱludʰí is an intelligent, hands-free notification reader and audio synthesis assistant designed for road safety (motorcycle riding, cycling, driving), deep-work productivity, and screen-free accessibility. The core functionality of the App is to intercept incoming notifications on your device, buffer and deduplicate them into coherent context batches, and synthesize them into natural spoken audio summaries using customizable personas and text-to-speech (TTS) engines.
2. Notification Data Accessed and Processed
To fulfill its core purpose, *ḱludʰí requires access to Android's Notification Listener Service (android.permission.BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE). When enabled by you, *ḱludʰí accesses:
- Notification Content: Notification title, message body, sender name, and group conversation title.
- Application Identifiers: Package names (e.g.,
com.whatsapp,com.google.android.gm) of apps you choose to monitor. - Timestamp and Metadata: Time of receipt, notification categories, and reply actions (used solely to enable quick inline replies from the App).
Zero-Leakage Sensitive Credential Redaction (OTPs, Passwords, PINs)
*ḱludʰí employs a multi-tiered Sensitive Content Filter operating at the lowest ingestion level (the Librarian). Any notification detected to contain One-Time Passwords (OTPs), 2FA verification codes, account passwords, or banking PINs is automatically sanitized on-device. Secret credential digits are redacted before the message is stored or passed to any AI model and are never spoken aloud.
3. How Your Data is Used
- Audio Synthesis & Digest Generation: Transforming raw text notifications into spoken briefings in your selected voice and persona style.
- On-Device Inbox & Action Items: Displaying your summarized notifications, extracted action tasks, and contacts in the App's local interface.
- Background Media Playback: Maintaining an ongoing media playback session so audio summaries play seamlessly while your screen is locked.
We do NOT: sell, rent, lease, or monetize your personal notification data, share your notification content with third-party data brokers or ad networks, or use your notifications for targeted advertising.
4. AI Processing & Third-Party Services
- Local Processing (On-Device): When using on-device models (LiteRT / MediaPipe / System Native TTS), all AI summarization and speech synthesis occurs 100% locally on your device without transmitting data over the internet.
- Cloud Processing (Google Gemini / OpenAI): If you configure cloud AI models (via Bring-Your-Own-Key or managed proxy), sanitized notification snippets are transmitted via encrypted HTTPS (TLS 1.3) solely to generate the requested summary or audio stream.
